Facebook has hired Olswang litigation partner Anna Caddick for its EMEA litigation and regulatory team.
Caddick, who has been at the firm since 2009 since joining from communications and IP specialist mlaw, was a commercial litigation director for seven years, and was promoted to partner in 2015 in an all-female round.
At Olswang, Caddick’s client list included Hachette Filipacchi, The Sun newspaper and News Group Newspapers Limited.
This move comes months ahead of the merger between CMS Cameron McKenna, Olswang and Nabarro, which will go live in May.
Caddick is not the only Olswang lawyer that Facebook has hired in the UK; in 2016 the company hired associate Adam Wright as a commercial counsel, while in 2015 it hired associate Jack Gilbert as lead litigation counsel for the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
Cooley is a long-time adviser for Facebook, while and Eversheds for the London office real estate. According to The Lawyer Litigation Tracker, White & Case advised Facebook on a case involving a fake profile account on the social media platform in 2015, which was dismissed.
