“Wellness” is catching on. Lawyers at Kirkland & Ellis can now enroll in firm-sponsored classes to help cope with stress and increase productivity. And this week at Above the Law, bankruptcy lawyer and meditation instructor Jeena Cho lists practices that law firms can implement to create a healthier office culture. Among Cho’s suggestions:
1.) Have walking meetings.
3.) Have a Stress Free Zone room. Encourage everyone to spend 15 minutes per day to recharge and destress.
12.) Offer flex-time.
So this week, we’d like to ask you: How do you—or how does your employer—promote ‘wellness’? Do you make sure and take walking breaks? Are you conscientious about bringing in healthy lunches or not ever skipping lunch? Do you silence your phone for certain hours of the day? Do the measures taken by you or your employer seem to help?
