Google lawyer Christine Flores has joined Pinterest as its new general counsel.
Flores was previously Google’s vice president of legal, where she led multiple corporate legal teams including M&A, securities and real estate.
She joined Google over a decade ago and was previously a corporate associate at Proskauer Rose and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom.
She replaces Pinterest’s outgoing legal boss Michael Yang and will report to the company’s co-founder and CEO Ben Silbermann.
Yang also joined Pinterest from Google in 2012, where he had served as deputy general counsel.
Flores will be based in Pinterest’s headquarters in San Francisco.
The social network was founded in 2009 by Silvermann, Evan Sharp and Paul Sciarra.
